WHAT'S IN A NAME
A Chicago Meat Company Built on Family
Jasper Meats Inc. was named in honor of Jasper Cali, a beloved father, grandfather, and Chicago butcher whose work ethic inspired generations of his family.
In the 1940s, Jasper purchased quality meat from Chicago’s Fulton Market and delivered it to delis and small restaurants across the Northwest Side. Known as a “meat peddler,” he built his business through personal relationships, dependable service, and quality products.
His daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Stan Pajerski, carried on that tradition. In the 1980s, Stan expanded Jasper Meats by serving Polish delis throughout Chicago, especially along Milwaukee Avenue. More family members later joined the business, helping it grow into a trusted wholesale meat supplier and retail butcher shop.
Today, Jasper Meats proudly serves Italian, Polish, Hispanic, Asian, and other communities throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Our trucks still feature “Jasper” holding a tray of meats, a tribute to the man who started it all.
Jasper wouldn’t have it any other way.
